Best Habit !!

So simple and what a brilliant idea !!: if you aren't using it, better turn it off.

Plug all your peripherals like scanners, printers, and cameras into a power strip that can easily be turned off at the end of the day.

This is not going to cost you even a single penny !! rather you would be saving a lot of power.

Now common..at least that much efforts you can put up man...  Just imagine if each one of us do so, we would be able to save huge amount of energy !! doesn't that sound more greener ?

so.. don't forget to turn things off even if you go out of your room for few minutes because that also saves a lot..

Make it a Habit and you will see the results for sure !!

Recycling e-waste

Don't Trash Your Cell Phone / Gadgets -- Recycle It!

Cell phones and electronic gadgets contain toxic metals that can pollute the environment and threaten human health. When recycled responsibly, the metals can be put back into circulation, decreasing the need for new metal mining.

It is much better for your wallet and the planet to get several years use out of a cell phone before trading it in.

"If each of us recycled ONE mobile phone, we would save as much energy and pollution as taking 4 million cars off our roads"

If a phone/gadget is broken, its working parts are removed. "New" gadgets are eventually assembled from the usable parts of different gadgets.

First Floating Wind Turbine in Atlantic Ocean

An inspiring step forward in offshore wind energy technology

A Seattle-based company named Principle Power has deployed it's first floating offshore wind turbine off the coast of Portugal, the first time a floating turbine has been installed in the Atlantic Ocean.
Renewable Energy World reports the 2 MW turbine was assembled on land and then towed 217 miles into open water.

Car vs Bike

This neat demonstration clearly show the difference between the parking space occupied by a car and a bike.

It's an ironic step with an important message associated with it. Cars cause pollution and congestion ( both on and off the road ).

The bicycle stand shown ( practical implemented in some parts of east London ), occupies a space the size of one car and holds approximately 10 bicycles. This demonstration is clear enough to make you understand the difference.
